Description:
Car is in excellent running condition with two class wins in its last race in September. One weekend on its Charlie Williams built engine (dyno sheets available),Ivey rods and crank, hewland gearbox rebuilt by Metcalf racing end of 2010, ground up restoration in 2007. This car is fast. Near perfect condition and race proven, except for a crack across the nose (see photo) from when a Formula B wouldnt get out of the way. Price is for as-is. For another $2000 I'll repair the crack and repaint the color of your choice. Original radiator re-cored with modern core and removing the oil cooler lower section so whole radiator is water cooler. Separate oil cooler now. All receipts and photos kept of restoration.
History
Car was sold by Lotus Southwest in 1968. Raced in the SCCA up to late 70's, with slicks at times, when it received front suspension damage. Parked by owner who decided to raise a family. Have all log books. Stayed in the same garage till we bought it in 2003. Started restoration in 2006, finishing in 2007. Ran it for a season and a half when the motor let go. Had Charlie Williams rebuild a motor to get it back on the track this September, 2011. Running great, on the heels of Formula B's and more modern supervees.
