Description:

In excellent overall condition is this 1978 Mallock Mk 17B Sports Racer. The only Mallock equipped with and raced with a Rotary Engine. The build was completed from a chassis shipped to Canada and was raced in the Canadian Sports Car Championship. The engine is a full race Mazda 13B, peripheral port two rotor with all Factory Light Weight Componentry, including Mazda Factory Competition Light Weight Rotors, Housings and Eccentric Shaft, Competition Dry Sump Housing and Water Pump, Ianetti Ceramic Apex Seals and 287 HP. The Gearbox is a Full Race Saenz five speed and the rear end is a Quaiffe Lotus, Four Wheel Lotus Disc Brakes and a DeDion Rear Suspension.


History

Shipped into Canada and raced in the Canadian Sports Car Series it was twice crowned as Canadian National Sports Racing Overall Champion with two different drivers, and raced with the Mazda 13B Rotary Engine. Later brought into the US and raced in the Northeast for a few years before being acquired and a full restoration took place over five years. Since the restoration the Mallock competed in it's first race at Indianapolis and finished a respectable 2nd place in C-Sports Racing and Winner at the Savannah Speed Classic and Overall at Amelia Island, last year. Those are the only three races on the car since the restoration
