Description:
The Onyx ex-works 1983 European F2 March entry for Christen Danner. The original Mader BMW engine was replaced with a Loyning Cosworth BDD and the car re-homologated for competition in the pro-Formula Atlantic series when Cosworth's were still allowed in the series in the late 80's. The engine now in the car was pro-built and has zero-time on it. The car last ran in a SCCA National at Pocono in 1989. The BBS wheels pictured on the car are new and have never seen track use. There are important spares included in the sale price, including the all important BMW engine mounts and misc. brackets needed if a collector had a wish to re-fit a 2.0 litre Mader BMW at some future date to further enhance the value of this one of a kind March F2 car. The only significant work needed to fire the engine is the completion of the exhaust header fabrication. All needed components are included. Will sell for $43,000 as a roller without the engine!
History
Finished 2nd at Hockenheim, and took 3rd at both the Nurburgring (also sat on the Pole) and at Silverstone -- in 1983.
