1962 Merlyn Mk4 Sports Racer Chassis - SOLD
This is now SOLD. Search for similar items.
Description:
This very pretty little sports racer would have run a Ford 1500 or Climax with a Hewland or VW box as a G-Modified in SCCA.
Nearly all the parts for a complete rolling chassis the exact contents are described below. The
car was disassembled, the original rollover bar removed for upgrade, and the lot stored for many
years. As a resto project it's a snap since Merlyn still survives and can supply virtaully any part.
History
The car was first raced by Charlie Burns who went on to be G-Mod National CHampion in another
Merlyn in 1964. It was later raced by Bud Kemp in the Southeastern Division. The November 1962 issue of Sports Car Graphic
has a feature article on the Merlyn Mk4 which includes a cutaway.
