Description:
This 1967 MGB-GT Special has been maintained in race ready condition since it's last out at the Lime Rock Vintage Festival in 2011. A health issue prevents me from racing any longer and it is time for someone else to have fun with this car. The car is finished in BRG with livery similar to '67-69 BMC works cars; very period correct both esthetically and mechanically. Powered by a very strong engine with 8 races on it, it is quite quick for a four cylinder GT. Of the five GTs at the Jefferson 500 in 2011 it was clearly the fastest. Since initial sorting out in 2008, the car has been very reliable and is such fun to drive.
History
Prior to purchase the car was raced in SCCA and HSR events at Sebring and Daytona. From 2008 to 2011 I raced it in VRG and VSCCA events at New Hampshire, Beaver Run, Summit Point, Watkins Glen, NJ Motorsports Park, and Lime Rock. Performance Data
