Description:
This car is either number 2 or 3 of 3 made. It has a JAP 500cc Alloy barrel engine, and the Norton upright gearbox. The owner has engine mounts for a Norton engine. It is restored and race ready.
History
This car was designed by Gordon Bedson; (Kieft, Martin, Erskine Starride). It is the only known survivor of the 3 cars built. It had a tubular chassis, a twin ohc Norton engine, wishbone ifs and swing axle rear on Kieft lines. Its lines, however were advanced, for it was lower and sleeker than its F3 contemporaries. The name was owed to its Guildford constructors, McGee and Bedson. Three were built, but none of the drivers who raced a Mackson- they included Burgess and Wharton- was successful with it.
