Description:

Car designed in 1969 by Cedric Seltzer (of Lotus fame) for the UK Tarmac F100 Silhouette of 1969/70. Car was originally built & raced by Nick Cole of Nerus Engineering Ltd., Hastings UK. Nick has personally confirmed this is the third car built of only 4. A fifth set of chassis tubes was cut but never assembled. I believe it was imported to NZ in 1988 and went through various hands until purchased what was left of the car in 2008 and completely rebuilt it with new body parts supplied from UK from the original moulds. The 1600cc cross flow engine was rebuilt and I have dyno paperwork at 139.4ps & 137lb/ft, the gearbox is a rebuilt Hewland Mk 8 speed with many spares. Great car was taken in the rebuild to the point where I cast new rear uprights as none suitable could be sourced anywhere. The car is in excellent condition, is started regularly, has had a recent oil change and can be run as is. The car looks brilliant in its original blue gel coat but can be painted to meet customer requirement at an additional cost. Since the rebuild I have raced it a 3 meetings, with the main one being the Chris Amon festival of speed at Hampton Downs (NZ) on 30.01.2011 where I had 3 first places and one second racing against the likes of Andrew Reynard in Bill Stones' very quick U2 Mallock. I have a best time around Hampton Downs of 1;17.471 with more to come. The car is great fun to drive and has been 100% reliable (except for a single bought out switch failure) All receipts for rebuild Price includes shipping to US port
