SCCA National Championship winning car. Al Beasley bought car from Jerry Mong (Bobsy/Vanguard) and started racing it in 1964 with over 200 races up to 1979. SCCA Logbooks entries from then ’72 [when SCCA Logbooks first started) to 1985. SCCA Runoffs in 8 of those years. Beasley won Championship in ’66 at VIR. Believed to be 2 others earlier per Hans Huwyler. Complete restoration 2005. Letter correspondence shows Mr Huwler asked it be rebuilt by Beasley to 1964 configuration when he purchased it in 1991. Two owners since with minimal use, though completely refreshed recently with all new custom Fuel Cell/Bladder, lines, pumps, all water tubes & hoses. Books of documentation and pictures from day one. Has Highly Ported DKW 3 cylinder, 2 stroke. Many boxes of spares including complete running stock DKW and several boxes of pistons, bearings, seals, etc. Absolutely beautiful car and surely the only two stroke out there !
