I ran this car in SCCA CenDiv through 1979. After the season ended, I went through and freshened the car and added the flairs and had it painted. As it turned out, I never ran the car again and it has been on stands in clean dry storage ever since. Rocker arms and fluids were removed while in storage. The car has many Datsun competition parts including springs, aluminum flywheel, aluminum gated oil pan, and competition oil pump. It has aluminum Venoli 12.5 to 1 pistons with Total Seal No Gap piston rings. The block is bored .040 over. The cylinder head has been ported, polished, and cc'd. It has a cam oiler bar and a degree wheel for cam timing of a Racer Brown cam. It has Chevy valve springs that include inners, outers, and dampeners with titanium retainers. The block is o-ringed around the cylinders and has a solid copper head gasket. Carburation is Mikuni Solex side drafts. Exhaust is 1 and 9/16 single tube over/under pipes into collector with 2 and 1/2 exhaust pipe. Master cylinder and front calipers are 240z with 11 inch vented rotors. Adjustable brake bias valve in rear line. In the front there is a 1 and 1/4 inch sway bar mounted in aluminum blocks with Teflon bushings. It is attached at the A-arms with spherical rod ends. There is a pan hard rod in the rear. The wheels are 14 inch American Racing Libres with machined aluminum spacers. All fuel, oil, and hydrylic lines are steel or steel braided. The following parts are all NEW: Mikuni Solex carbs, fuel cell, fuel pump, fuel regulator, factory starter, 240z calipers (re-man), 240z dual master cylinder, rotors, Ferodo pads, and rear brake bias valve.
