Description:
This beautiful front-engined Junior is an older restoration but has been little used by the current owner
since being acquired in the early 80s. It has a zero-time engine by Nino Epifani.
History
Vittorio Stanguellini developed his Formula Junior from his Formula Corse car and it soon established
itself as the most successful design of the early years of the formula. Designed by Ing. Massimino and
tested by no less than Fangio at the Modena circuit great things were expected. The cars dominated
European Junior racing throughout 1958 and 1959. Roberto Lippi was Italian champion driving a Stanguellini
in 1958 and Cammarota repeated in 1959. Micheal May won the international chamionship in 1959 at the wheel
of a Stanguellini. The end of the front-engined junior era dawned at the first meeting of 1960, with the
emergence of the rear-engined English cars. About 150 Staguellinis were constructed.
