Description:
This is serial number one of Arnie Loying's ground-breaking design which predates the Swift.
One of the most historic US Formula Ford designs, not even a dozen were produced. One of the
few designs which won it's Runoffs debut, it remains a competitive Formula Ford but is actually
eligable for Spec or Club Ford in many regions.
History
Famed US engine tuner Arnie Loyning and college professor Bob Erikson began the design of the Viking
Formula Ford in 1976. A prototype, possibly this car, was unveiled in 1979 and first customer cars
were delivered in 1982, the year the car won the Runoffs, driven by Bob Lobenberg.
