1979 Porsche 911 Race Car "930 Chassis" - SOLD

Description:
This car was conceived from a 1979 930 Porsche chassis, which was complitelly stripped and painted in California. A full racing cage was custom built with 1.5 diameter X 0.125 gauge on the main hoop, fore/aft bracing & front hoop from chromo alloy material. 993 GT2 body style all fiberglass (including bumpers, front & back fenders, hood), GT racing doors, GT2 wing, and 993 style side mirrors & a glas windshield. The engine is a race prep 1980 porsche 911 3.0 liter machine with 95mm bore, 70mm stroke, 11 to 1 compression ratio, estimated HP 325 & 275 Lbs. of tourque at the rear wheels. Fully balanced, JE Pistons, revieved case, new Bosh fuel pump, 930 oil pump, ARP rod bolts, ARP head struts, nuts & washers, Elgin cams, new polished rocker arms, stainless steel valves, titanium valve spring retainers, EBS racing valve springs, ported heads, new 911 SS 304 race header system, merge collector with dual 2.25" exhaust outlet, new intake system, new 39mm engine exhaust port, RSR flywheel, RSR aluminum pressure plate, 6 puck metallic disc, new Electromotive engine control TEC GT 2.0 version fuel injection system, oil fed chain tensioners, Electromotive crankfire ignition system, trunk mounted swirl type dry sump tank (fully aeroquiped), standard engine mounted oil cooler with additional front oil cooler with thermostat, and Oberg trunk mounted oil filter. The transaxle is a 1980 Porsche 915 gear box with 5 speeds, close ratio geat set, Quaife differential, new GT main shaft, and fresh syncros. Current ratios: 2.21, 1.78, 1.38, 1.17 & 1.00. Engine and transaxle built by Jeff Moore of Automotive Archeologists in Springfield, MO. The front suspension is a 935 system, with Bilstein struts with coil overs. The rear suspension has 930 trail arms, 450 Lbs. rear spring plates, Bilstein struts with coil overs. The breakes are 930 Big Red 4 puck calipers and rotors in the front, and 930 on the rear, Pagid pads, steel braided hoses, dual master cylinders set up for larger breakes. The safety equipment includes: New 2.3 L firecharger fire supression system, Sparco racing seat, race fuel cewll, new Diest racing belts with a 5 point harness set up.
