Description:

Porsche RSR Conversion 1966 Porsche 912 platform Charlie Akly built suspension modifications & street race motor. California car, no rust less than 4,000 miles since conversion and new street race motor; always garaged. This is a drivable street racer that handles very well, don’t expect a marshmallow ride on rough road surfaces because it has stiff suspension; but on a road like Topanga Canyon or Stunt Canyon it is a kick in the pants to drive. Suspension: • Koni shocks front & rear • 19mm 911S Torsion bars • Teflon suspension bushings • 19mm Strut brace between front shock towers • 16mm Rear sway bar • 1971 Complete rear suspension long wheel base conversion • Lowered • 15” BBS Modular wheels w/extra set half rims for front • Airheart dual caliper front brakes w/vented discs • 911S Front disc brakes on rear wheels • 100 Liter extended range steel fuel tank – fill through stock 911 side fuel door Body: • Steel front air dam • Steel Rear fender flares • Steel Front fender flares • Paint and body in very good condition – one small paint ding in right rear fender flare • New Paint – needs to be gone over w/polishing compound • Original brass window frames re-chromed w/new weather stripping • Original open able wind wing windows all parts re-chromed • Original rear quarter windows all parts re-chromed • Interior in very good condition needs new driver side carpet, rear jump seats piping needs to be replaced, door panels, interior side panels, and dash in very good condition • Recaro Rally/Race Bucket seats, fabric in excellent condition • Deist racing three point shoulder/seat belts • Leather sport steering wheel • Alarm – 30 second delay to deactivate • Fuel shut-off switch under dash – cuts power to fuel pump • Needs new radio – but why do you need a radio in this car? Engine: • Magnesium engine case • 2.9 liter Mahle pistons and barrels – “slipper type pistons” – 10.5:1 compression ratio • 40mm Webber carburetors • Electronic ignition • 911S – 11lb. flywheel • 911S clutch • 911E cam – makes it easier to drive in traffic but with other modifications has good torque and power band for fast curvy road driving • K&N Air filters • Stainless steel Aeroquip oil lines w/front oil cooler • Rebuilt five speed transmission w/lower first gear ratio • Needs oil return tube seals – can be replaced with Expandable Oil Return Tube Kit/cost about $350.00 to purchase and install
