Description:
After purchasing this car in September of 2007, it was completely rebuilt over the winter. Every rod end was replaced including those that mount the body. The engine was sent to Farley Engines for rebuild. and the body was freshened and painted. The tub was polished. Penske shocks rebuilt and dyno'd 2007. The car won the 2008 SVRA overall endurance championship. In the winter of 08/09, the engine was returned to farley for freshening. Little or no wear was noted. It was freshened and retured. Dyno's 147 HP at the crankshaft. Placed second overall and first in class in the 2009 SVRA enduro series. Based on the engine condition following the first season, it should be good for another season without touching it. Additional improvements since the rebuilt include a new billet starter mount,new high strength axles,New belts,and a new carbon fiber nose.THIS CAR WAS MODIFIED BEFORE I BOUGHT IT FOR TALL DRIVERS UP TO 6'6". It is currently set up for 5'11" to 6'2" drivers. 32" inseam, but easily returned to the tall driver or shorter driver settings. The DB-5 is the latest Swift allowed in vintage competition, and very competative. The car is a very fast and reliable example. The car comes with numerous spare body and suspension parts, and three sets of Techno wheels. A full set of change gears come with the car. Also includes a good raceable set of Hoosier rain tires. SCCA division Champion, Track record holder at Hallett. All log books. 2008 SVRA overall Enduro Champion. 2009 2nd overall Enduro and Class winner.
