Description:

Solid performing Sports 2000. Extensively raced since inception (on 4th Log Book) in Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast US. Body prfessionally switched over to 1985 Lola 598 body for more aerodynamic profile. Original Tiga body (less one crushed side pod piece) included with all mounting hardware, original main hoop and gauges (more pictures of other original body pieces and attachements if required). Car has been updated with AIM electonic dash and gauges, Fire system. Since pictures taken I have done over $1000 in new "maintenance items" such as rebuilt/recored radiators, new aluminum water tubes, hoses, clamps, Oil lines, Air filter, and fresh paint on tail after minor garage accident to tail. Car is a BLAST to drive, neutral, and very forgiving. Side bite is incredible with slicks. Jumped into the car at Roebling Road (Savannah) having never driven an S2 and went from a 1:27 down to a 1:16 in 40 laps. Plenty of room left to go faster. Also has some spares including wheels, suspension pieces, starter, hubs, rear uprights, halfshafts, bearings, etc. The car is very clean, comfortable and race ready for Regionals or Vintage Racing. Single Rear Mirror is PANORAMIC - amazing. Motor pulls strong through all gears and Hewland Mk 8/9 Gearbox is a joy to shift. Great step up from smaller sports racers, production cars, or as a great starter car. Available immediately and will be at Oct 16-19 SVRA Finale at Road Atlanta. Selling to make room for newer Lola T88/90. I am 6 ft, 200 pounds and fit perfect, will accomodate up to 6'4" or down depending on seating arrangement. 2007 Model year 18 ft Enclosed Trailer set up for Tiga also available at additional cost. See last pictures for updates on Radiators, water pipes, AIM electronic dash, Original Seat padding, TIGA main hoop and pod mounts, splitters and splitter molds, and other TIGA body parts included. SCCA Logbook 75-821 started 4-24-1982 (now 4th book atached) and raced in every year except 1990-91. Original owner: Fred John in 1982, J. Jaeger in '84, then Stephen Harris in 1987, Les Casterline in late '87, W.J. Kasmer in 1990, Mark Gompels in 2007 and now me in 2008. So 7th owner and well maintained throughout it's life. Only one accident noted in logbookin June 1987 and back on track in July 1987 after repair to Left rear corner. Again, the Lola T598 bodywork is from 1985 and is legal in this configuration in SCCA and Vintage organizations. Or take it back to a proper TIGA if you wish.
