Description:
A complete and straight car, less engine, it has been in storage for 5 years or so, last
being run as an SCCA regional car. The tub is in very good condition and while the entire car
could use some TLC it is unmolested and undamaged. It is the perfoect low-cost entry into
Sports 2000 racing and a good bet for the English series.
History
Howden Ganley and Tim Shenken, ex F1 drivers from Down-Under, took over the English MRE
concern which produced Formula Fords. Renamed Tiga, with designer Martin Read they produced
the first car under that name in 1976. They concentrated on Formula Ford 1600 and 2000 and Sports
2000, where the cars were competitive from the beginning. An abortive F1 project, F3 teams, and
a tragic F2 effort basically distracted the firm from their core business of single seaters for the
lesser formulae and sports cars.
Competition History
Last raced circa 1994.
