Description:

*Serial number 146 with engine number 615371 left the factory for the USA on 24 October 1959.

*Imported by Alfred Momo, the car raced in the Midwestern USA until 1962 when it was placed in an enthusiast's museum in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Almost six decades later, the car was recommissioned by Kettle Moraine Preservation and Restoration in Hubertus, Wisconsin. 

*Recommissioning included a comprehensive valve job, rebuild of the carburetors, new brake hydraulics and linings, radiator overhaul, new hoses and a thorough inspection of the car. 

*Current owners acquired the car in January 2024 and completed the recommissioning with fresh body paint (original paint had been stripped by the previous owner) and a new windscreen.  

*Car is one of the very few Stanguellinis that is nearly 100% original. Other than body paint, windscreen, brake consumables, tachometer, battery, ignition coil and the Stanguellini badge on the nose, the car apparently retains all its original parts, has never been restored and shows no signs of any accidents.

*Original rare, sand cast 33DCO3 Weber carburetors, original cable operated radiator shade, original numbers matching engine, proper Stanguellini branded oil filler cap, proper Stanguellini water pump and cast aluminum oil sump.

*Rare opportunity to acquire a Formula Junior which is essentially the way it last raced in 1962. It starts easily, runs well, drives and stops without issues.  New owner could display it as-is; fit new tires and drive in exhibition races; restore the car to concours condition starting with an unmolested example; or fit safety gear and compete in vintage racing.
