1957 Lotus Eleven Sebring Colin Chapman Project

Description:

Lotus Eleven #276 was raced at Sebring in 1957 by Colin Chapman and Joe Sheppard where it won its class and came in 11th overall.

In 1958 Joe Sheppard lent the car to a friend where it was raced as #58 and in an accident that damaged the nose.  A new nose was supplied by William and Pritchard.

It was completely dismantled in the 70's and stored in a heated garage where it remains today. Only three owners.

In December of 2025 I inspected the project with Russ Hoeing the Registrar and Historian for Elevens in the US.  Russ confirmed that this is the first long door Eleven and it is #276.

Everything is there to put the car back together again .

Can assist in packing and shipping.
