Description:

A highly original, low mileage example of the Abarth 850 twincam by Zagato, this car has an incredibly low
mileage, having had the same owner for the last 30 years. With less than 10,000 km. on the guage
it has been carefully stored and maintined. The engine has about 8 hours running since a complete
rebuild and the car had a repaint 3 years ago. There are no damages and no signs of rust. A spare
engine less head accompanies the car.


History

Immediately after the war Carlo Abarth, variously credited as being Yugoslavian or Austrian,
settled in Italy and together with Rudolf Hruska became Porsche representatives to the Italian
auto industry. One of their first briefs was to find a constructor for a proposed Formula 1 car.
The Cisitalia company of Piero Dusio expanded the objective to include a complete product offering
but after the financial collapse of the firm the F1 prototype and Dusio departed for South America.Engine
