Description:

This Camaro started its racing life as a Kelly American Series race car. After that series it was converted to GT-1. The chassis was built by Dillon Race Cars. Body is fiberglass and is supported by Motorsport Composits. In recient years, it has been raced in vintage (SVRA) races and club races in the north east. In the spring of 2013, the car was crashed at Lime Rock Park. The car is offered for sale in damaged condition, less engine. The sale includes the flywheel, Quarter Master clutch, bellhousing, release bearing, transmission, driveshaft, headers and exhaust, oil pump, dry sump oil pan, high torque mini starter, power steering, harmonic balancer, crank mandrel, pulleys, belts, altrnator, motor mounts, plus all GT-1 components. The rear is Frankland/Winters quick change, and the car includes MSD ignition, transponder, fire system, Acusump, all Aeroquip oil and fuel lines, twin fuel pumps, wide-5 hubs. The crash damage requires frame straightening, left front fender, nose section, left side caliper mount, left front shock absorber, windshield, radiator, and related brackets. I have some spare fiberglass parts that are pictured.


History

The car was built and raced initially for the Kelly Girl Series. Converted to GT-1 and raced by Jeff Lewis in the late 80's and 90's. Then raced in vintage.Performance Data
