Description:
This 1995 Lola IndyCar was campaigned by Patrick Racing and driven by Scott Pruett and has a winning race history. The car is currently run in high downforce street course trim. Top speed is drag limited to 172 mph as a result of the large wing package. The net results are sustained cornering and braking forces in excess of 3.2Gs. It is a hard car to drift at speed in this configuration. There is also a road course front wing for the car which provides less downforce and thus greater straight line speed.
History
This 1995 Lola IndyCar was campaigned by Patrick Racing and driven by Scott Pruett to a close victory over Penski and Unser Jr. at Michigan and several second and third place finishes in the 1995 season. The Michigan race was one of the closest in IndyCar history with Pruett and Unser trading the lead several times in the last two laps. Pruett managed to edge Unser by a mere 0.059 seconds to win the race. 95 marked the return of Firestone to IndyCar racing. Pruett completed the season in 7th with 112 points.
