Description:
This Lola T540 finished 6th at the recent Formula Ford 40th Anniversity race for Club Formula Fords out of field of 66 cars. It was the fastest Lola FF that weekend. The car was completely gone through this Spring with the sole intention of entering it at the 40th FF Reunion. The motor was freshened by Farley Engines and has only one race weekend on it. All of the brake calipers were rebuilt with new seals, every nut and bolt was either examined or replaced, a new fuel cell, battery, and belts were also added. Car is complete with a brand new AMB transponder. It is truly a turn-key, race ready car with 8 spare Revolution wheels, 20 gear sets, a complete spare body, 2 additional A-arms, and many spares including jacks, gears, dog rings, engine parts, chassis parts, etc.
History
This car started life on the pole of the 1979 Runoffs with Greg Atwell at the wheel. After Greg's race, the car was sold to Keith Brown ('79-'87), Jim Harayda ('87), Jim Krausat ('87-'91), Bill Bergeron ('91-'97) and it's current owner from '97 until today. The most significant development lately was it's complete rebuild to ready it for the 40th Formula Ford Reunion. Not only is the car very clean and in excellent condition, but it also managed to break the old track record at RA at the Reunion along with several other Formula Fords that weekend.
