History
Not to be confused with Tore Helle's Len Terry designed Viking F3 car of 1975-'76, Viking Formula Fords were produced in limited number by famed engine tuner Arnie Loyning and College professor Bob Erickson of Portland Oregon. The idea was hatched in 1976 and a prototype was unveiled in late 1979 with the first customer car being delivered in 1982. Bob Lobenberg drove a Viking to victory at the Runoffs. Five cars were built, this particular car was campaigned for one year in Mexico Formula Ford Championship finishing second. The car was put in storage where it sat until 1999 when it was exhumed and restored, it has been on exhibit since restoration.
