1980 Ralt RT-4 Formula Atlantic Chassis - SOLD
This is now SOLD. Search for similar items.
Description:
Over the winter of 1993-1994
the car underwent a total and complete rebuild with no expense spared.
Receipts for major work are available.
History
It was one of the first three Ralt Formula Atlantic race cars to be built
and imported to the U.5.
The car was built on a Formula 2 tub and to Formula 2 specifications.
It is identical to a 1980 Formula 2 car (RT-2 designation). However, this
chassis was designated as a RT-4 Formula Atlantic.
Competition History
This car has an excellent record over the last two seasons. In competition
with newer Ralts and Swift DB-4s it has placed well in both regional
and national events, qualifying for the Runoffs in each of the last two
years. In 1995 it won the Mid-Div Mid-Am regional points championship.
The car has only had one DNF in the last two years, due to an engine
problem. It will make an excellent club racer or, more likely, an
important vintage racer.
