This 1963 Triumph Spitfire is a former SCCA race car, built by an aerospace engineer and raced by him from the late 70s to 1993. It was actively raced in vintage events in VARA from 1993 to 2010. SCCA logbooks since 1981 and VARA logbooks from 1993 to present, as well as records and receipts come with the car. This Spitfire is very well built, and is a very dependable, competitive, predictable and a neutral handling car. It usually runs near the front with a conservative driver, and has had very few DNFs. Only 3 events on a full race 1147cc vintage-correct motor, running dual SU carburetors, built by Jerry Barker (2-time National FP champion in a Spitfire). The car has run all the Southern California tracks, in addition to Laguna Seca, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.
