The car is in road course configuration with a 97 "spec" rear wing and matching front wing. The car is currently a six speed (all forward/wide 5th and 6th) "roller". All suspension, spindles, output flanges and uprights have been crack tested. Far from a show car, a substantial amount of prep work has already been done on the car. The uprights have been built. The gearbox has been crack tested and assembled with road course gearing for an XD with a 13,000 RPM limit. Drive shafts were returned to Metalore for inspection and recoating. The brake calipers have been rebuilt.

History

This 1996 Lola ChampCar was campaigned by Payton Coyne Racing and driven by Michel Jordain Jr. with mid-pack results in 1997. He achieved a best of 12th at Portland gaining one point. 1996 marked the creation of the IRL and thus the name ChampCar for cars running under the Championship Auto Racing Teams or CART banner.Performance Data
