Description:

Professionally constructed, engineered, and developed by Harrison Auto Dynamics of Phoenix, AZ, this Cobra was built to comply with SCCA Super Production (SP) class for production based and replica cars. Any modifications to chassis, engine, drive train, and body work are allowed in what is for all intents and purposes an unlimited race class. It has been campaigned mainly at Phoenix International and Firebird Raceways, with appearances at Limerock, New Hampshire, and Sears Point. It would also be the 800 lb. gorilla at a track day event. CHASSIS The chassis started as a Hi-Tech which is a faithful copy of the original 427 Cobra coil spring ladder frame with 4" diameter tubing and a 90" wheelbase. Approximately 100ft. of additional steel tubing was added to the frame for increased stiffness and to comply with SCCA safety regulations. Additionally the frame was designed so that the transmission can be removed from underneath the car. The rear suspension is of standard 427 cobra design with the exception of revised shock mounting points to give a 1:1 motion ratio. The front suspension is completely redesigned and is a pushrod configuration. Ohlins double adjustable shocks and Eibach springs are used front and rear. BODY The basis of the body work was also the Hi-Tech 427. New molds were created by Arizona Prototype and the body now consists of 14 individual Carbon Fiber panels easily removed for accessibility. ENGINE The engine is a freshly built Carroll Shelby FE aluminum block 427 that now displaces 497 cubic inches. Bore is 4.31 and stroke is 4.25.
