Description:
A well-known car for the last 15 years in US historics, the current owner has just completed a total
restoration to perfect condition. With only one race since completion, it is poised for many seasons
of trouble-free competition. The owner is so in love with the engine that the car is also available as
a roller.
History
The car was raced in England by Nick Crocker, of Sollaton Totnes, Devon.
It was bought in the mid 80s by Hank Manley III of Manley Valves
Engineering. He raced the car with the SVRA and HSR throughout
the late 80's and the early 90's. The car was then bought by Randy Lentz
in the mid 90's. The current owner bought the car in 1996 and began
a restoration which was carried out through 1997 and ending in 1998.
Competition History
The car has only been raced once sine the restoration was completed.
It was entered in the RMVR event at the new Pikes Peak International Raceway.
The owner did not get a qualifiying time so had to start dead
last in a field of 35 cars. At the halfway point of the race he was in 7th place
when the exhaust cam broke. Both cams have been replaced
with two new Bean ZL1 steel billet cams.
