Description:
Compression (taken with engine warm and air filters on): 145 150 158 146. Cast iron crank balanced by drilling holes in the lobes. Rods have no visible markings, appear to be balanced by grinding material off the bottoms. Aluminum pistons. 120E block with 5 main bearings. Idles and runs like it has a performance cam. Will need manifold gasket and oil pan gasket. Oil pressure when warm around 60 psi (per dashboard gage). Comes complete as pulled from the car with dual Weber DCOE-18 carbs with both air cleaners and trumpets (3 long and 1 short), generator, starter, distributor, trans. Transmission is a 2000E semi-close ratio complete with clutch, shifter, and new slave cylinder. Needs selector rail adjustment.
History
Built in the 1970's or 1980's as a race motor for a Lotus 7. Run less than 500 miles since 1983. Was running very well when pulled early this year.Spares
