Description:

This car has been sitting for a while and will need resorting in every way. The dry sumped Lotus Twin Cam engine (with head by Tony Ingram) was recently freshened and starts with good oil pressure. The Hewland 5-speed was apart and new dogs fitted, along with some gears. Panasport 3 piece wheels.

Brakes are Girling AR on the front, with suitably sized rotors. The front A-arms have been replaced by tubular, camber adjustable units from Banks Europa Engineering. Rear brakes are some Wilwood 4 pots.  Bias Bar pedal box. The rear suspension is linked to the bell-housing gearbox assembly through two links, with the original Lotus style rear trailing arm still in place to the front.  I have new FIA belts for the car, dated 2026, so valid through 2030. There is a roll bar with rear bracing, but no cage. The windshield wiper mechanism is in, and I do have the power window mechanisms and glass to return to a street car if desired. I have a spare set of doors (I think at one time I was thinking I would have race doors and street doors) I think I have a spare set of one piece wheels to go along with it (I will have to pull some out and see). There are a few Hewland spares included. Weight is just under 1,500 pounds.

The harder realities... this car last raced over 15 years ago so should be gone through in its entirety. I pulled the fuel bladder out of the custom ATL fuel cell and it is in good condition but over 20 years old. The fire system is charged but of a similar age. The Hewland linkage will need sorting to be able to select all the gears (I had all of them on the bench but now fiddling is required). There is a mismatched section of paint on the left front fender (the hay bale won) but I have a quart of paint that should be a good match. The windshield has some typical race track pitting. When I imported the basket case from California it was a chassis plate that I think should have been an S2, but the chassis and body were TC.  In any event, this is now 1068R.

This car is priced to sell! I am downsizing and all cars must go! This is basically for the value of the engine and gearbox. The car is in Canada, and buyer would be responsible for arranging shipping unless they want to come pick it up. I will listen to sensible offers.
