History

Originally built for racing purposes from the last Steel Chassis produced by Marcos before the company went into liquidation. It was orignally raced with a Ford Cologne Capri 3 Litre V6 engine by Jonathan Palmer. It was in this guise that he won the Modsports Championship and went on to become an F1 driver. This car has an extremely successsful racing History and is arguably the most successful racing Marcos ever. The Marcos was then purchased by Richard Gamble who converted it to John Eales Rover V8 3.9 Litre power, Fabricated suspension etc. This ensured that he was immensely successful in the club racing scene, winning many Championships and ensures that it is just as competitive today. In one season, Gamble won every Race he entered with the exception of 1 due to a loose Electrical lead!
