History

The car has been driven with reasonable success by John Opie and Tony Pashley during 1997 and 1998 predominately
in hillclimbs, the average placings in National class meetings being 4th or 5th, in smaller meetings
one FTD and two class wins were gained.

Engine

• 1100cc Suzuki GSXR WP engine/gearbox (5 speed)
  
• punched out to 1089cc using JE high compression pistons.
  
• pistons fitted with flowed head give a compression ratio of 12.7:1.
  
• Keihin 39mm flat slide carbs are fitted fed bvia an airbox developed on a dyno.
  
• stainless steel custom exhaust with silencer fitted with carbon fiber cover.
  
• standard motorcycle clutch configuration, standard plates replaced by Kevlar racing ones.
  
• this motor was rebuilt in June of 1998 and was dynoe'd @ 150 Bhp.
  
• engine was built and maintained by Tony Pashley, a professional engineer with 40 years of motorcycle engine experiece.
  

Fuel System

• 2 gallon aluminum fuel cell situated under drivers seat.
  
• Kawasaki fuel pump with filter
  

Oil/Water System

• stanard Kawasaki lubrication system, less cooler.
  
• aluminum radiator intended for a Vauxhall is installed in the right hand sidepod.
  
• standard waterpump and thermostat is retained.
  

Electrical System

• stanard ignition with adjustable trigger unit.
  
• 12V system
  
• Stack dash with time/rpm printout facility
  

Body

• professionally built carbon fibre nose cone and side pods, there is no engine cover.

• bodywork is painted in VW Atlas Grey, new in January 1999.
